JOB DESCRIPTION: ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Reports into either Group Account Director or Account Director
Energetic, positive and solution-oriented, the Account Executive supports the Group Account Directors and Account Directors to facilitate the planning, communication, execution and administrative demands of specific projects or accounts. This role will have significant contact with our clients, partners and internal delivery team, and as such good judgement and professionalism are fundamental requirements.
Account Executives must be able to bring a creative and proactive approach to problem solving across all responsibilities. Identifying opportunities to improve support, communication and quality, and ultimately the value Brightworks provides for clients is a key component of this position.
Account Executives are responsible for understanding the strategic priorities of their clients and for ensuring those priorities are represented in the projects delivered on the account. Being knowledgeable about the client’s brand, competitive landscape and overall marketing strategy is key to enabling an Account Executive to make insightful decisions on projects.
The role of the Account Executive is often focused on the details and ensuring nothing is missed! Bringing a strong acumen for organization, a comfort with asking the right questions and a confidence in flagging potential issues will set an Account Executive up for success at Brightworks.
Account Executives should show a desire for “stretching up”, and while leading client strategy isn’t a fundamental part of the role, a curiosity about the process and practice of good strategic development, and an effort to develop those skills will be important to grow in the role.
Account Support – 40%
Project Support – 35%
Other – 25%
Minimum 2 years in an Account Executive or Product Co-Ordinator position with a focus client management and delivery excellence.
Proven track record of creative problem solving and positively contributing to the success of projects and accounts.
Understanding of multichannel tactics and techniques
Vertical expertise and / or marketing expertise within the area of client responsibility.
SOFT SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Show excellent judgment and professionalism in dealing with both clients and internal team members
Excellent written and presentation skills.
Have the ability to multi-task and take on new, undefined responsibilities as accounts/projects/roles evolve
Ability to be organized and communicate clearly
Deliver polished, client-ready outputs at all times
