With your experience across a range of both print and digital platforms – from multipage brochures with custom die lines to conference booth designs, to responsive websites and apps for tablets and mobile devices – you can conceive and realize campaigns that are pleasing, easy to use, and always on brand and on strategy. You can swing back and forth easily in your creative toolkit between pure user-driven interface design to conceptual and idea-based campaigns while keeping it spot on strategy.
While this position does not involve formal team management, you will be expected to demonstrate leadership as a senior member of the creative team, sharing knowledge with your colleagues and fostering innovation and best practices. This role will be focused upon servicing the creative needs of various clients in the pharma, retail and financial sector so experience in this area and an understanding of the needs and expectations of business stakeholders with this type of client will be key.
Art Directors at Brightworks are responsible for conceiving the aesthetic and design elements of their projects and campaigns – in the service of clearly defined business objectives. Working closely with the account and project teams, you will develop creative concepts for print, web and mobile properties. Open to feedback and always focused on framing your creative efforts in the context of business and brand constraints, you will develop top-notch design for print, website, responsive sites, mobile apps, email campaigns, social media and the occasional print piece.
You may be called upon to develop net-new ideas or refresh or revitalize existing campaigns to match new business objectives. Sometimes you will flesh out your concepts into full print pieces or full-fledged web properties, and sometimes this work will be shared with other members of the team. As our roster of clients continues to grow steadily, you may also be called upon to participating new the creative aspects of new-business pitches. As an experienced creative contributor, you will be expected to be adept at collaboration and mentorship within and outside the creative department.
You are expected to play the role of a highly responsible leader with a strong sense of ownership over our creative delivery to the client, both in terms of your own work and in terms of reviewing the work of others and providing feedback to guide the deliverables to where they need to be to meet client expectations.
