Opening our door (and snack cupboard) to some new friends…welcome, Vérité Films!

3 months ago this week, we welcomed a group of hard-working creatives from Vérité Films into our office. Founders Virginia Thompson and Rob de Lint and their energetic team are best known for bringing us Canada’s most popular comedy of all time, Corner Gas.  Released in 2004, Corner Gas became an instant hit with an average audience of 1.4 million Canadian viewers over its six season run.

Most recently, we have had the pleasure of working closely with Virginia and team in what we can now call a VERY successful launch of the Corner Gas sitcom and movie in the United States, and the rest of the world!

While our Prez and Virginia had a previous working relationship, bringing a group of strangers into the office definitely wasn’t an easy decision; culture is something we take seriously at Brightworks (as serious as our monthly Friday Challenges). But, after 3 months we can confidently say that without a doubt, this group has brought a breath of fresh air into the office and we could not be happier to have them… it also doesn’t hurt that some of their a-list film friends like to drop by!
