THE ASK
  • BD was looking for a way to make their booth stand out at the ADA conference, while also creating a tool that could be leveraged through sales channels once the conference was over.
THE APPROACH
  • Leverage the power of VR technology to put conference goers into the shoes of Type 2 diabetes patients.
  • Create an educational tool that reinforces BD’s key business objectives: BD branded prescriptions, shorter and single use needles.
  • By putting the viewer into the perspective of a Type 2 diabetes patient who has progressed to injecting insulin, viewers could get a better understanding of common mistakes vs. best practices during diabetes counselling sessions.
THE RESULTS
  • Leads increased by 46% over the previous year. 
  • The BD booth received 10x as much traffic as ones three times their size during the busy times.
  • Overwhelmingly positive feedback from clients and conference goers.
